Purchased 3. The first died after 2 weeks, the second after 4. I kept having to turn them off to work and eventually they stopped working altogether. Update 6 weeks later: Anker contacted me and promised a free replacement after I sent them in for a refund. Never received anything from them. Now 6 weeks later even the last one has died and I can't get a refund anymore. waste of money.

The 'security feature' that prevents the phone from charging due to the presence of 'metal' is terrible. This prevents the phone from charging after it has been charging for a minute or two, even when there is nothing there. You have to take the phone out of the charger and then try again and sometimes it works. You need to go back and check your phone to make sure it's still charging. Totally unreliable charger. I strongly recommend another product.

Return this product as it doesn't require such a high fee. This is my first unsatisfactory review of Anker and it saddens me a little. I tried several universal wireless chargers for my iPhone X and everything was fine. However, I have a number of Anker chargers and cables so when I saw they made one of these I had to try it out. This is an excellent charger. It works very well with the phone (S8+) in vertical or horizontal position. I tried using it on a bedside table but the blue LED is annoying at night. Also, it was easy to slide it too far to one side or the other and charging would stop.
