High quality at a good price!

Very happy with the radio. We went on a cruise and we each did our own activities on the big boat (Royal Caribbean). Clarity and power were good. Others traveling with us bought a different brand and their reception was poor.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Nothing here

So far it's great.

Build quality is better than I expected for the price. I took one of them for a ride in my truck while the kids were home and around the house. We were able to achieve consistently good quality over the 3/4 mile. The furthest we could use, albeit a bit intermittent, about 1.5 miles. Mind you, the kids were in the house and I was driving my truck. We weren't out of the blue and the house is in a subdivision. I think our range will be much larger on open terrain in rural areas.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not bad for budget 2W FRS radios.

Surprised by the light and "cheap" feel, but equally surprised by its clarity and range of sensitivity. I bought them a set of "cheaper" mics and they both do great bang for the buck. but time will tell. I do a lot of mountaineering and the idea was to keep the gear as light as possible, cheap but effective. We ran some tests in our area's hilly terrain and found that two watts of power definitely help get this signal through the hills. will be updated.

Excellent range, suitable for radio communication

You have a long range. They didn't get a 5 star rating from me because the buttons on just one of the walkie talkies sometimes have to be held down too hard for them to work while you're speaking into them. (Unfortunately, I accidentally ran over one of them with my tractor, and it wasn't a defective one.) However, their range is incredible. I tested them while my husband was driving down the road and around a serious hill and I was amazed at how far he went, easily 3 miles or more and we could

I love walkie talkies, can't get replacement batteries

Great product, great price! Arrived very quickly and works great. I always communicate and when my father has health problems we live in the same house but it's 2 floors. The only issue I had is that you can't buy a spare battery from Revain so the batteries are always fully charged. You have to go to a site that is out of country and has cash on delivery. Will your order be fulfilled if the payment is approved? I sent emails, no response from them, so my order is from them I guess

lol) but he's 72 and doesn't walk around like he delivers too much

. My dad recently retired (mom made him leave the house lol) but he's 72 and he's not walking like he used to either. I ordered these radios not expecting much but they are one of my best investments. With 4 radios he never leaves his desk except to fill his cup of coffee and he is constantly in touch with all aspects of the business. And I also love that each radio comes with an earphone. So when I'm in the parking lot with customers, I know exactly what's going on without any disturbances. We

Featured! in Portable AV

Loved it! A large assortment. worked great around town (used it on a trip to Iceland where our phones didn't work). Worked great for communication both around town and while hiking. The battery lasted a full week so we didn't have to charge it while driving, although both switches are 220v/110v so the output converter is only needed when needed (no voltage converter required). The headphones were a great addition. I didn't think it was necessary at first, but being able to clip the device to my

We have just returned from a cruise with 9 people in Alaska. We were on the princess ship. And it was a lifesaver! It really was the only way to communicate! Cell phones don't really work and/or are very expensive to use. The ship app does not notify you when you have a message (in fact you must be logged in to see if there is a message). And it really was the best way to communicate! We all had our walkie talkies on the same channel and luckily we very rarely heard other bands (I think the…

Checked after use for driving/travelling

Purchased to communicate with friends in different cars during travel or excursions. Used them while driving with two other people on a winding, hilly forest road in the Pacific Northwest. At less than 30 mph we stayed very close, averaging within 20 feet or more of each other: in this case reception and clarity was very good, no interference. - More than 30 mph, with the same distance between us (within 20 feet): Even at close range, the signal strength seemed to be significantly worse. The…
