A 2001 Yukon XL edition

Good idea. One thing about my 2001 GMC Yukon XL was that the old antenna didn't have a comfortable rubber grommet. Rather, it was covered at the top with a polycarbonate shield. Couldn't get it off until I poked it out with a small chisel, a screwdriver will do. After that everything fits and 10 strong and solid everything is good. Much better than trying to plug an old antenna cable into a new socket that you ripped out.

one to ten? TWENTY! First, let me say that while waiting a few days for the product to arrive, I sanded down the broken end cap that was left over from my old antenna's failure. It took 5-10 minutes and was pretty easy. The item arrived today. I opened the package and went to my truck to install it. I SWEAR --- It took LESS TWO MINUTES (literally) I turned on the radio and it worked great. I love this product!

NOTE for 2001 Chevy Suburban owners: The "black rubber insulating cap" mentioned in step 3 appeared to be glued to the base of the antenna. I removed most of it with a vice, but I had to remove the three screws holding the antenna base, then remove the antenna base and use a knife to cut off the extra insulator cap. These additional steps were very easy to follow and only added about…
