Good aftermarket mast for the money

Good antenna for the money. The product was fine, but my antenna motor didn't work. Didn't help because I had to get a different engine. But there is nothing wrong with the product.

Great replacement option to keep the look of the original.

A great replacement when you need a black antenna mast. Ease of installation. Note that if your current mast cable breaks in the motor, you will need to drill out the rivets and remove the broken pieces. Then simply use the screws to securely attach the cover.

Pros
  • Shipping from Wisconsin!! 1 year warranty!!
Cons

Easy to install, does not retract fully

Works great and the instructions included make installation easy. My only problem is that my antenna rarely fully retracts. The instructions say it should adjust itself automatically after the first few times, but that hasn't happened to me. I had to buy a second one after the first didn't fully break in and broke in the car wash. The second is now bent from not fully retracting.

Pros
  • Detailed step-by-step instructions - easy installation for anyone!
Cons
  • Secret

I was looking for a replacement for my factory 2000 Trans Am antenna and risked it working. My struggle was my own fault and tiny bits of the old antenna were jammed into the housing preventing the new antenna from being fully extracted. I ended up installing and uninstalling it multiple times until I figured out the problem. After I removed the jam, the antenna worked like new. Good for another 20 years. :)

Pros
  • 100% quality assurance, period!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

and watching YouTube gave me a lot of confidence.

U-Tube has a video showing how to do it. Two people are required, one to turn the radio on and off and the other to grasp the cord in the cord reel. The supplied scanner key worked perfectly. The whole job took about five minutes and everything works like new. Installation requires silicone grease, which I didn't have but bought from an auto parts store the same day. It couldn't have been easier, and watching YouTube gave me more confidence.

Pros
  • 100% identical to the original factory mast - highest quality stainless steel
Cons
