This replacement dimmable holder installs very easily, looks very well constructed and dims the LED light bulb I use in a lamp very well. Two things to note. I bought a vintage hanging lamp and put a huge vintage LED bulb in it, it was very bright and I wanted to be able to dim it. I needed a switch on the lightbulb and a dimmer on the lightbulb. I figured I could get it and use the innards in my existing jig. It worked but be aware that the top is a bit tight and the engagement button is significantly thicker and lower than the regular mount so it took some trimming to increase and lengthen the channel for the switch. However, it works effectively.

I used to have a 40w and a 7.5w bedside lamp with multiple bulbs that I gave up when moving across country. .
