Wax doesn't burn evenly, and no matter how I held it, I couldn't slow the wick burn so the wax wouldn't put it out. I figured I could go without a spoon with them, but the drops dried before I'd gotten enough wax to make a stamp. I ended up just using them as non-wicking sticks, but I had to make it quite awkward because the center is obviously not waxy. However, wax is perfect when melted and maybe I'm just doing it wrong.

I find them easier to use than a spoon in which you melt the wax pellets. You have a wick that you light, turn the wand aside, and let the wax drip onto the poultice in a circular motion. The wax dries quickly (2-3 minutes) so do not use near a fan. You can light 2 sticks at the same time and mix the colors of the wax. Because it uses a wick, it gives the wax a slightly black color. I like it, I think it looks more authentic and helps the stamp stand out better. The wick catches fire easily…

I love that this set comes with multiple color options. I haven't used them all, but I liked the deep pink color. However, wax is easy to use; it melts slowly, I've found that if I hold the lighter up to the wax and light the wick, the wax melts faster. The wick is sold and works to the end. I was able to use all of the print and was happy with the print every time I used it. I liked the product, add what I was looking for. I will buy again

Wide range of colours. I was running low on supplies and ordered some to replenish. They seem to be the usual variety. I love that they were packed in groups of 4-5 and then packed in one big box so they weren't lying around. I took a few shots to show them fitting neatly into my small wax chest. I use wax stamps for journaling, paper making, and for sealing postcards and letters. I prefer bright and happy colors but this was a good deal.

I always wanted that. I think that's from all the historical pieces I've seen over the years. I ordered them about a month ago and they have taken my writing to a whole new level. The friends who received the letters liked the stamps and I love using stamps to make my letters more attractive. You get so many color options! It's hard to decide which color to use. I think this would make a great gift if you have an avid writer in your life. They are also great for wrapping gifts!
