The head fell off the first screw, it was almost completely in the tree! I'll have to ask someone to dig it out of my antique closet! Very disappointed! Cheap black screws, good brass screws should have been included!

I love these clasps, they are attractive and give things an old school look. One thing I would recommend is moving the slider further to the side instead of right in the middle. So you can have a little more "overhang" and more spacing from bar to bar. Works great but they need to be closer together than I would like for my particular application. It barely engages and I'd like to be able to center the side of the latch on the window.
