Excellent quality - calibrated

Oh yeah, they're good. Accuracy at an affordable price. The tips are all sharp and not just a square like the corner block sets so you can insert them straight into the inside corner of the square to draw a line if needed. I also used it as a makeshift main square to test the squareness of the double square. Also can be used to test the accuracy of these Chinese 320 degree protractors. A sky blue padded suitcase is a bonus. Keep them oiled and they will last forever.

Pros
  • Test, measure and check
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Essential for any serious joiner or carpenter

I used these to check saw angles for a 3D cutting board project (see photos). My first attempt failed because the saw was slightly offset, and for these designs to work you need to be making cuts at exactly 30 degrees. not 29.7, not 30.2, but with an accuracy of 11 seconds with an accuracy of 30 degrees. Once I got them, I was able to type everything in a few minutes and with just a few test cuts. This set of 30/45/60/90 squares is worth every penny and costs less than a basic 90 degree square…

Check out the specs! in V blocks

I have had good luck with this supplier several times in the past and needed a set of these. I installed them on granite, ran some tests and found that the 45/45/90 spec was close enough for my purposes. However, I had a problem with 30-60-90 not being squared at 0.006. Basically I could put the 6thou probe between the top at both corners if it was next to a known good 1-2-3 block. . I also tested them with the B&S "Best Test" 0.0005 DTI and got the same results. This is significantly more…
