Worked like a charm to trim down my sticky door

Worked like a charm to trim down my sticky door. Was easy to operate and trimmed the top edge of my door so I could close it again.The dust catcher bag helped catch allot of dust, but it still made quite a mess. Next time I'll haul the door down to garage rather than doing it in the room.There's are two dials on the unit. The depth selector (larger dial) was hard to turn, but I was able to do it. I have no clue what the smaller dial does.

Going with a 2nd Unit

The motor blew up up on the 1st day. Not happy with this unit. I only used it for 5 minutes. I am going to try a 2nd unit. I don't have high hopes.2nd unit review.I have a 2nd unit now and it's working, but I am afraid of pushing it too much. The motors in these units seem very weak.

  • I order replacement blades which fits perfectly. Best way to keep the blades sharp.

Good so far good for me

This is my first portable planer. It seems to have good power and features.There is definitely a learning curve to using it.It takes practice to get a smooth even cut. I don't know if that is my inexperience or a flaw of the product. Time will tell.

Exactly what I needed

Used this for many little projects in a short amount of time (a couple months.) It's worked perfectly and easy to use. It's actually my first one (besides a hand planer) and I have no complaints.

Easy to use on my review.

I used this to plane a door to make the door fit to a new rug. I''m outside US so it would be costly to return.Bad item. I never used a planer before-this works great!
