Haven't needed crust topper yet but the trellis cutter is amazing. Note. If you're using ready-made Pillsbury, you may need to thin them out a bit in order for the tool to cut all the way through.

If you manage to keep this fragile little ring on the cake, you've won the lottery! It's almost impossible to use this thing according to the instructions. I want to return the product but I will keep it to remind myself that I was stupid enough to fall for this bait. Cheaper is not always better!

I LOVE this! I bake a few cakes every year. Very easy to put on. I bake the cake for 15 minutes before putting it in. This is easy to do even on a hot cake. Very easy to set and remove without messing with the crust. I only put mine in the dishwasher to wash them. super easy. They're a little dirty from the heat but I don't mind as I'm the only one seeing it.

Made pecan pie for the first (and only) time I've used it. The silicone rim stuck to the edges of the crust and pulled off chunks of the crust as I peeled it off. Can work with a double pie crust, but not a single one if there's a chance the filling will bubble up and touch it - it's an inch wide, overlapping the filling! Also the grid does NOT work! Leaves an imprint in the pie dough and needs to be patiently stretched - a real nightmare! Waste of money - don't buy!

Guards work great exactly as described. However, I bought these specifically because they came with a trellis cutter. The rust cutter was rubbish. The needles were uneven and some had plastic bulges so few of them cut through the dough, making this thing completely unusable. It ended up in a trash can where it belongs. So if you are considering these for a rust cutter I would definitely not recommend.

The only reason I have very few stars is the lack of packaging that the products came in. I used two items that went around the pie stand to keep the edge crust from burning. I like it but would like instructions on how to close the ends. The pizza dough maker did not work as shown in the photos on the packaging. Directions would help. Also, the products were placed in an additional pocket, for example, two crust shields were placed in one pocket, and the pizza dough tool had its own pocket but

The dough cutter was fantastic, the perfect rack for my Beef Wellington! And the shipping from Amazon was very fast! However, I don't really know what to do with pie crust protectors. If you make the cake right, you'll never need them. If you need them, for the price this product is perfect for you! One more thing about the grid cutter! If you have a special mat for rolling out dough, you need a plastic mat that won't cut into the mat! Hope this review helped! Great vacation!
