Solid kit suitable for soldering and soldering equipment

status: summer 2015 I had it for about 3 years, but used it very rarely. I've recently had to solder very large copper foil inductors onto PCBs with very large copper areas and was scratching my head on how to get this to work. Turns out I had no reason. At 720 degrees, he soldered the inductor to the circuit board with the supplied broad iron tip as easily as soldering a small resistor to the circuit board. I attached the foil with a couple of hemostatic clips, applied heat and solder, and I…

My previous soldering tools have been: 1. Radio Shack 150/250W soldering iron. A good quality instrument ten or two years ago when the RS name still meant something. But too big and overkill for many small projects.2. A cheap $15 "60W" adjustable iron comes from Shenzhen. It worked, but I didn't realize how bad it was until I got over it and bought a real soldering iron/station. I unpacked Aoyue and it was immediately clear that this is a high-quality QUALITY tool. The power cord is heavy 18ga…

    Recommended for welding and soldering

I bought this unit to replace the capacitors on the circuit board of my double oven. Like others, my soldering experience started a few years ago with a simple pencil and involved a massive, dual-temp Weller gun. None of them gave very satisfactory results, but they got the job done. For this project I decided to buy the best equipment. Equipment starting with a decent soldering system. I considered all the options and I pretty much realized that I could never justify the cost of a professional
