Easy and Affordable

Only time will tell how long it lasts, but it was an easy and quick install. Had to raise and lower the camper a bit to get the slide out so I had room to mount it (probably because it wasn't level), be careful when cutting corners, youtube videos before installing. Under $100 you can only imagine how much that would cost at the dealer!

Very satisfied. It was worth it.

This new gasket was installed when I removed the slider. Worked really well, now I can't see daylight between my slide and the camper wall. Make sure you use lap sealer in all corners and make sure your lap is suitable for water drainage. A regular straight razor wouldn't cut it, so I used my tin snips to cut it.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not the best

Ideal for RV slides that require this type of seal.

This black rubber gasket (?) worked fine. I was concerned that it might not be possible to install it without moving the shutter away from the camper. The seal has encapsulated metal handles. Although difficult, a soapy solution could be used. It was too stiff for 90 degree corners and required proflex sealing in the top corners that needed frequent monitoring. All in all, it was a very reasonable do-it-yourself replacement.

Neat product. suitable for RV parts and accessories

Used on the mainline when repairing water damage due to original gasket failure. Not as strong retaining clip and not as thick rubber as the original. But it works well and is pretty easy to install. We put it in the sun for about 30 minutes before installation and it was quite soft. It became very easy to slide in place. For an extra barrier, use some 100% silicone or other waterproof adhesive in the splint. And that's less than half the price Camper World offered me for a similar item.

Great upgrade for my Monaco Diplomat motorhome. Taller wipers, bigger bulbs, much better seals. If you break the spine of the new seal you can just make 90 degree bend. I used some black RTV windshield sealant in the corners just to be on the safe side. No more daylight with the slides open or closed. Difficult, but not impossible, assembly with the rail almost fully extended. Very good and relatively inexpensive upgrade.

  • Elegant design

Easy to install if you're patient

We have a 2006 Thor Wanderer with a 13ft rail. It was exactly the same seal as before, and it was about 3 feet too big. The installation took two people an hour, although it was one person's work at a time. The wife made the sides because she has thin fingers and I made the top of the foil because it took a little effort to press it into the slot. We used fingers and the blunt end of a rubber spatula. RECOMMENDATION: Fully extend the roller shutter before installation to see where you have the…

Good quality. Not a bad job.

This dual lightweight retractable van seal arrived on time and in perfect condition. I've watched a few videos on YouTube about installing seals in sliding exits. Unfortunately, there are many styles, and they all work a little differently. Next, make sure the surface is clean after removing the old sealer. Remove old sealant or adhesive. I had no screws or glue. It fits snugly to the edge of the metal RV paneling. The hardest part of the job was shaping the top 90 degree corners. I found I had
