I use an outlet with a timer to light my reptile. After spending the weekend away from home, I returned to my room with the smell of faulty wiring. Twenty minutes later, my outlet melted. If I had come home an hour later, my house would not be there. The socket did not indicate a wiring error in the house installation (because it has an indicator for this). I won't buy anymore.

Lights keep flickering like strobe lights when connected to this unit. Both the original order and the replacement order had the same problem. There are other 1 star reviews that reflect this flaw as well. Do not buy if using flashlights/lamps. Also note that this unit will block BOTH sockets and you will need to remove one screw from the front panel to install.
