Untenable. doesn't last.

I use APC to solve most battery backup and surge protection problems. This is after a month of use for some reason. One of them has no Grounded meter. It either goes out or appears faint and disappears. I don't know what's wrong with this strip, but plugging in my gaming gear isn't encouraging with the lights flashing/going out intermittently.

What a great price Best in Surge Protector

I have shopped a lot at other stores and keep coming back to this one. I am very satisfied with the purchase and use. Consulted a building inspector who said if I had to use a surge protector it would be fine but then he warned me that "firefighters hate surge protectors". I was taught how to use it properly and then warned that my fire alarms should be checked regularly and that I should have fire extinguishers around the house. Would recommend and buy again.

Lower limit of acceptable scale

There are few brands that actually work in Texas. I have been repairing/assembling computers professionally for over 40 years. In Texas or Orlando, you need a MUCH better than average surge protector. Lightning protection is something completely different than real surge protection. This point is the lowest point on the scale for this type of protection with a reasonable investment. This is what I use for non-critical, low-cost components.

***NOTE*** Forks in the twin pack are straight NOT right angle

So this is a slightly different review. The surge protector works as intended, hence 5 stars for that. The single pack is PE66 and the double pack is PE66DP so it can be assumed that they are exactly the same except for the quantity. Originally I was only going to buy one, so I carefully read the description of PE66. Then I decided I would take two, thinking there was no difference other than the quantity. I was very disappointed when they arrived but I guess it's my fault. I just want them to…

Cable length option does not equal Joule rating!

I was interested in this article because it says 1080 joules. The article I was looking at had a 6 foot cord. but on the same page they included a 3 inch cable option and I chose to think all else would be the same. Unfortunately it isn't. The joule rating for the model with the 3ft cord was only 540 (and to their credit, they list that elsewhere on the page). But it seems like if they offer a specific option (in this case 3ft cable instead of 6ft) the buyer can expect all other specs to be the
