Works on spares

Bought to replace a broken one. Only had this short time but seems to be working well. A bit difficult to replace, but that's due to the way Chrysler designed the van. I was able to do most of the replacement myself, but had to ask an assistant to tighten the bolts while I held them.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Good

Better than OEM. go to spare parts

Both locks on my caravan have failed. This is common, especially when the slides stop working. This part should be replaced first when repairing electronic sliding doors. Then check the wiring inside the rail. If the wiring is OK, replace the motor. My cables were broken. I fixed the wiring and now both sliders work and lock automatically, open when pushed. Easy installation and perfect fit.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Works well and is more economical than the MOPAR part

The part fits my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan perfectly. I used it on a driver's side sliding door so I had to swap the levers and I found it pretty easy. The part works and now we have a locking/unlocking door again! I haven't seen a MOPAR replacement part so I can't compare this part to this one but this part is very similar to the old one although it doesn't look exactly the same but is functionally the same.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Dangerous failure warning.

As another reviewer said, after 2 months of use (e.g. installation, great results, like others) the device "locked up". While my original broken actuator allowed free manual movement (lifting the lock with fingers), the door would not open after this part stopped working (stuck in lock, won't open with fingers) without the door panel closing dismantle. etc. . Bad week for a car fire. I will update the rating if I have a successful return as long as "fix cheap, fix twice".

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • A few minor issues

Needs some adjustments to fit 2007 Chrysler T&C

I had some trouble installing the new door operator, it all installed but didn't work properly! Upon closer inspection I noticed that there is a spot with a gap that should slide off the part on the door, but the gap on the new part is too tight! It looks like a groove that slides into the door bracket, but the new one was probably narrowed a sixteenth of an inch to slide properly. I had to take it off and cut out the slot about a sixteenth of an inch to get it to fit properly. This…

Missing part for spares

I gave this one star because it came with one hand instead of two like all the others. Unfortunately, the "friend" who was going to install this on my dad's van kept stopping until we finally took him to another shop and then found out that the problem was in the part itself. They found a suitable one for his van and installed it the same day. After waiting so long for a friend to install it and not knowing there was something wrong with him, the return window on the order is showing as closed.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Almost OK
