🚰 APEC Water Systems Dispense-3 8 Output Kit Review

Too bad the reverse osmosis system doesn't come with this unit! Now I have the original filter and I don't know what to do with it. But this filter really speeds up the drain from the reverse osmosis system.

just what I needed. I installed a reverse osmosis system, but the pressure in the fridge wasn't very good. I changed the line from 1/4" to 3/8" and this has improved my performance.

I was expecting a significant increase in water usage but I really don't see any change. Everything connected well and it was easy to swap out the old 1/4" hoses, fittings and filters for the new 3/8". The end result is the same water flow from my faucet. So it wasn't worth it.

The product itself is excellent, greatly increases the flow of water. However, my kit was missing a filter cartridge and a tee. Apec sent me one fairly quickly, so in that sense I was very pleased. But having to wait an extra week to install the add-on was annoying.

Easy upgrade of standard reverse osmosis kit to increase flow. This was a hose replacement and new final filter with larger fittings than the standard 1/4" outlet kit. Filling jars is now the same as filling from a regular tap and no waiting. The only minor difficulty was also connecting the refrigeration line, I needed a 3/8" shut off, a separate 3/8" tee and a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter, nobody seems to have this combination to have like theirs. Make for a 1/4 tee/cut-off.

The instructions included with this kit are not very accurate for my RO-90 system, you may need to read between the lines to set up this unit or contact support a 3/8 line that goes to the R/O faucet which screws onto the faucet with a 7/16" barbed fitting and expands to 3/8" but I was unable to use the 1/4" already installed Do not remove inch tubing with a RO-90 kit, Apec phone support said, to cut the 1/4" tubing that was flush with the threads on the faucet and install a new 7/16" 3/8 -Inch

Room in our basement. This would be about 25 feet away from the kitchen sink. I also wanted to use filtered water for our ice maker in the utility room fridge/freezer. To maintain the required volume I installed this 3/8" upgrade. It was easy to do and only took me an extra 15 minutes. Great addition to my home water system! Everything works as it should.

I have an APEC RO-90 that has now become an APEC RO-HI with this kit. In addition to this high flow retrofit kit, I also added an APEC TANK 14 14 gallon tank to my setup. The last item I want to add is the permeate pump kit. But of course you want to know that, don't you? I would say to other reviewers who said it doesn't increase flow, your problem is most likely inlet pressure. As I said, my system started out as the RO-90.
