Best commercial quality dive fins

I clean boat hulls and scuba dive for a living. These things are heavy, strong, not too big, and will propel you like a rocket. If you are serious about diving and want a solid, high performance, commercial quality fin then I would highly recommend them. If you wear shoes or boots and are over a size 10 I would suggest a super size. I'm a size 12 and I wear great shoes and they fit well.

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • boring packaging

The only fin you will ever need is worth it.

Awesome! Without a doubt the best find I have ever used in all my years of diving and snorkeling. I needed a new set of fins for my diving course to match my boots. The spring-loaded heel strap is everything a fin should have - it's a lot easier to put on, especially when you're already in the water. I wear size 9 boots and the large fits perfectly. 3.5 hours workout in the pool and no pain or blisters.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Protection

When using with shoes or boots, order size "Super "!

They are quite flexible, but still provide the necessary traction. A spring-loaded retention strap at the back makes them quick and easy to slip on and off, while eyelets at the toe and heel make it easy to keep them in place during and after your swim. *** It should be noted that if you are wearing hiking shoes you will need a "super" size due to the height and width of these shoes.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • A few little things

Light and powerful

When I was learning drysuits I used heavy Hollis F1s as training wheels. I then switched to these lighter fins as I could better control my buoyancy in them. Everyone has their own preference for fins based on body composition, gear configuration, etc., so take reviews with a pinch of salt. If you like light, try them. Lots of power with frog kicks and no problems with reverse. Used them in caves and was not disappointed!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some problems

I have bought these fins several times

These are my favorite fins and I keep buying them when I lose them or break them. I have used Super Nova, Jets, Frogs and a few other large paddle fins. They work for me because they are easy to put on and take off. This ensures a smooth transition. They also help me move faster because I'm a slow swimmer. I have long legs so I don't use quick kicks. I have a gentler, more methodical stroke and these fins complement my swimming style. They are similar to Rockets but have a softer material.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Expensive

Fins and straps very good

Fins and straps very good. I am a professional diver. I switched to them from ScubaPro jet fins. Been diving with them for twenty years, heavy compact fin. I was looking for an extra heel guard so I gave these a try. They help protect the heel of my boots, but the rubber isn't as durable as the venerable ScubaPro Jetfin. They appear to be lighter but smaller than other fins. The ScubaPro jet fins are still the champions when it comes to durability. I will say that the stainless steel band isโ€ฆ

RK3 - strong fins

I wear size 12 shoes/boots and the big fins are perfect for me. Lightweight entry and exit fin with heel spring. D ring holes for a BCD carabiner clip which I like. I bought both this fin and the SCUBAPRO Go Sport fin (size: large) for comparison and I personally found the Apeks fins to be more comfortable (out of the box). I particularly like the strength and durability of the RK3 construction and again the spring loaded heel strap is REALLY good. I've done 5 dives since I bought it in Hawaiiโ€ฆ

But I like the idea of โ€‹โ€‹the shorter fins because I like them.

I really wanted this pair but I usually wear women's trainers and 8.5/9 heels because I have wide feet. Even with a butt size 8 for women (7 for men) the medium was too big for me and they don't make a size smaller and I think they are only made for men. But I like the idea of shorter fins because I don't have the strength to row long strokes. If they were smaller I think they would work great for me. I really wanted them because of the spring around the heel, I chose the elastic straps whichโ€ฆ
