Description of 🐠 Silicone Sealant for Aquariums

100% Silicone - Apel’s aquarium sealant is always 100% silicone. Our fish tank sealer contains no additives or fungicides that can be harmful to aquatic life found in the aquarium. Multipurpose - When it comes to your aquarium, our safe silicone can be used for several different purposes. The clear silicone can be used to seal seams, stop leaks, and even to affix decorations to the sides and bottom of the aquarium. Strong Bond - The fish tank glue for glass is very strong and will remain flexible. Our silicone sealant will form a permanent seal that won’t crack or shrink. When used to bond items to the aquarium, it will hold them in place safely. Quick Cure Time - Glue for aquariums takes a long time to cure, but ours works fast! Once applied, the aquarium silicone will be dry to the touch within 1 to 2 hours. Allow a full 24 hours for the sealant to fully cure. Will Not Harm Fish - Because our silicone sealant is free from additives and ingredients that are known to cause damage to marine life, you can trust that our 100% silicone sealant will do no harm to your fish and other aquarium friends.

Complete failure of the best aquarium water treatment products

I am very disappointed in this product. It didn't work at all. The utensil I tried to seal, the hummingbird water utensil, leaked like a colander after a few uses. I would neither recommend nor buy this product. What a waste of money and time

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • So-so

Product is safe for your aquatic animals

This is a standard 100% silicone that does not contain any of the antifungal additives found in other commercial silicones but may not be listed in their ingredients list. You can use this product and rest assured that your pets and plants are safe.

Better to have a strong grip

Squeezing this out of the tube is a great arm strength workout! Eventually I gave in, cut off the tube and pulled it out with a tongue depressor. The smell reminded me of potato chips with salt and vinegar. We haven't had any leaks so far and the moss we applied to the background has stayed in place.

  • Best in class

Highly recommended!

It's actually a very good silicone. I reprint, rebuild or completely rebuild tanks daily and recommend this brand. Each brand has its own disadvantages or advantages. The only thing I don't like about this silicone is the drying time when you have thick jobs. Allow a day and a half for the main work of sealing and inner sealing. If you are doing a re-seal or full assembly where the appliqué is thick underneath and in between, plus an inner seal, I highly recommend 4-5 days to allow it to fully…
