The focus ring snaps spontaneously

I really liked the lens but the problem was that the focus ring was very difficult to turn when needed and as a result some cool shots were lost.

Pros
  • a handy thing

MEIKE MAKES GREAT LENSES

GREAT CAMERA LENS, NUMBERS ARE EASY TO READ, RINGS ARE MANDATORY BUT EASY TO MOVE, YOU FEEL YOU HAVE A QUALITY LENS. NO PLASTIC FEELING. VERY ACCURATE IN AUTOFOCUS AND MANUAL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LENS.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not sure

For the price, the picture quality is unbeatable!

If you can focus manually then you'll love this lens. Of the minuses, in my opinion, there are only two - 1. the focus ring is not smooth, which makes it difficult to fine-tune the focus, 2. chromatic aberration with an open aperture 1.8.NO! If you know what you're doing, then it shouldn't matter much.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not the best

You won't regret it: Lenses

First day with 85mm manual focus lens. Honestly, just take it! So much value for the high quality images this lens produces. I've used many AF lenses but they can focus on the wrong points. Manual focus lets you really fine-tune the image. I feel in control and can focus in seconds to capture a picture of a moving target.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Look good, feel good and take good pictures!

Bought my first lens, I need some for portrait mode because I have to go to my cousin's birthday party soon and she asked me to take pictures at the event, I already have two whale lenses The Lenses that come with the camera, but I'd like a few for portraits. At events like this we have a lot of suspended sentences and everyone wants to take a picture so I figured the best way to do that would be to get a portrait lens, I've closed a few photos (in the mirror) and so far doing a good job…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Great budget option for short telephoto lenses

I'll go ahead and rate this based on what most people want to know: Yes, it's pretty sharp, even wide open. Edge sharpness is not bad considering the price. At f/1.8 vignetting is minimal, but at f/4 it disappears completely. But even with an open aperture it doesn't matter. It's quite a large lens, but it's also light. It's primarily plastic for the body, with a metal bracket and metal-plastic composite elsewhere. It doesn't look like a tank and doesn't feel particularly cheap. Easy to handle…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Fantastic telephoto lens for beginners

So I bought this lens mainly because I had my eye on the Sony SEL85F18 but wasn't ready to shell out $600 for a focal length I had no experience with [I'm leaning toward larger wide-angle type]. I thought I'd make some concessions on the price, but I should be able to get a good idea of how to use the 85mm lens, and I was right. The biggest lesson I've learned so far is that handheld photography with a medium telephoto lens is DIFFICULT. Camera shake increases as the lens focal length…
