I accidentally bought an Apexel macro lens and was pleased to see that the item exceeded my expectations. Good clamp padding front and back and both lenses thread well so it was easy to switch off the 24x option when shooting at 12x. Video or documentation, but otherwise a reasonably priced product. This lens (16mm) is designed for phones with 1/3 camera sensor (old phones). The quality is better than the 198 degree lens that comes in a kit with the base Apexel 5. Less grainy when zoomed in. I've tried some of these wide angle phone clips. I am amazed by the performance of this professional Apexel lens. This significantly increases the wide-angle field of view without sacrificing important photographic components. The ability to add a circular polarizing filter is fantastic. I received the kit last week and was dying to try it. Last weekend I was finally able to test the kit. Using both lenses (24x) is very difficult given the magnification (I wonder what "24x" actually means) and you have to practically touch the subject. So I unscrewed the lens and put it in the box with the cap to test just one lens (12x). Image quality is VERY good, but you need to be able to focus on the subject. When using aftermarket lens kits, I've noticed that the macro lens is the most commonly used in that package. I have also lost or broken many of these lenses. First of all, please note that this is macro photography only. Other kit options are available including wide angle and telephoto. This kit is well packed in a plastic case.
