Easy to use lamp cord repair kit

I bought this set of 3 cords from Revain because my favorite floor lamp stopped working. Further investigation led to Avery fraying the cord where it connects to the lamp. I still don't know what happened, but I suspect one of the kids overtightened it. Since I didn't want to change the lamp, I went looking for a kit and found it. Perfect replacement cords

I bought some Turkish/Moroccan lamps when I was in the Middle East last summer. They were plugged into European sockets. I bought these along with the part needed to screw in the bulbs (European bulbs come in different sizes) and was able to rewire the bulb to make it work in the US. Be sure to pay attention to the position of the central switch!

The quality of these cables is satisfactory. The switches operate smoothly with audible tactile position feedback. The overhang for the blind on the switching side of the switch must be larger. The switch is at the dead center of the 6 foot cable, which is a horribly awkward spot. This results in the Switch sitting or hanging directly off the ground, even if the device it's mounted on is on a tall stand.
