Sturdy, well built but very difficult to use!

This crimping machine is very strong and well built; I used it with Watts stainless steel PEX clamps. The biggest complaint about this tool is that it takes incredible force to crimp! Sometimes I have to pull on one handle with both hands and hold the other handle to my chest. It also means it's very difficult to crimp in tight spaces as you have to have FULLY open handles for it to snap into the terminals. So make sure you plan your crimps accordingly. On a positive note, the ratcheting…

RCA terminals for water softener installations

I give this product 4 stars due to its disadvantage when attempting to clamp 1 inch terminals. Clip without using 2 metal tubes I found in my garage as a leveler and extender. 1/2" clamps, no problem. Pressing and clamping is easy, but for 1" clamps it's a different story. Remember to set the cutting width first before using this. The instructions are easy to follow to set your limit. This tool is well built and I can say that if used and saved properly it will work in many projects. RCA…

Calibration is not required. Brand Apollo.

I bought this for a house project. The stamp on the box and handle says Apollo. The Apollo brand and part number are the same and are sold in both the big blue and big orange stores near my house for 50% off Conbracos Revain. I did a calibration test in the manual before using. I didn't have to make any adjustments. I was able to fit two size pieces in a small bag, tie them together with wax tape, and tuck them into the handle. That way I won't lose them or forget what they are for. I've…

Stamped sheet metal frame bends and flexes in different directions

Wow I thought this was a fantastic deal at less than half the price of the HD and Lws but I was very wrong, I also noticed that the Calibration screw is very loose, not knowing if the adjustment has slipped from the original position, so I thought I should calibrate the device and lock the screw in place, I followed the procedure according to the website instructions and found that after the 1st bite it wasn't tightening enough so after fumbling with the set screw and biting off the glow rod…

Simple and safe connections Pex

This tool is great! I recently finished my own basement, including my own electrics, HVAC, frames, etc. This was the plumbing job I was most afraid of doing myself. The rest of my house has Pex piping, so I knew this was the thing. I read and watched videos about installing Pex and decided to take a chance and give it a try. The plumbing turned out to be the CRAZY easiest part of completing the basement! I installed a bathroom and small kitchen and the installation was so easy! There are two…
