    Good but dubious to call it "audiophile " quality

    I went back and forth giving this one 3 or 4 stars. In the end I found the album itself too good to give 3 stars. However, there is something I would like to point out. 1. The version I received was different from the one shown in the pictures. It had no plastic sleeve with an original banned image as an outside graphic on the center fold and a group photo on the inside center fold. I had a regular spread with a banned original cover inside. I also didn't receive the high-resolution download…

    Solid box set of early g and r

    Well, this box set contains many new songs, many of which are also included on Blu-ray. This year I will see the group again in Denver. (2021) and they are better than when I saw them imo 91. So I went ahead and bought this box set, well worth the money if you love the band. Is it for casual listeners? No. This is for collectors. I also grabbed the new Beachboy box set "feel the flow". There are so many good box sets out there these days.

    Now I'm getting a little older and Guns N Roses have been with me since 5th grade. I saw the debut of the video "Welcome to the Jungle" on MTV. A lot of people didn't get me until Sweet Child of Mine came out, but I knew right away they were going to be awesome. In 6th grade I had a circle logo patch on my jean jacket, I got kicked out of school for wearing a robot rap shirt, I could play Paradise City on drums and of course smoke cigarettes in style.     How many purchases to get the one that works right?

    The songs on the album, played properly, sounded very good. However, now I have to return 4 different Appetite for Destruction albums because they all jump at different places on the disc when first played. This is not a player problem. I have over 100 albums in my collection and I have no problem missing records other than these four. This is especially frustrating because the recording sounds great but with gaps.

    My neighbors asked me why they hear Paradise City at 2:30 a.m. Literally!

    The product arrived in a protective box. After removing this I had access to the wrapped album. The front cover looks fantastic, as do the records themselves. The sound quality on my Audio Technica AT-LP120X USB is excellent. There is almost no crackling or popping and the tracks sound phenomenal! If you are a GNR fan you should definitely buy this!

    High quality remaster with lots of great bonuses

    Nothing to say except why it took so long to post this? A remaster of the original album with lots of great bonus tracks and goodies. You can't be a fan and not appreciate it. It's expensive though, and I suspect that's why the label released the original version with no bonuses, no trivia. Is the fluff worth it? I bet it is. One wonders why more rock and metal albums weren't remastered on this label, or even Rock Candy (an excellent remastering label in its own right). What are these record…

    Marketing gimmick prevents true audiophile output

    This remastered album is probably the best version available on vinyl, but it's a shame Geffen didn't take full advantage of both discs. Three songs per side at 45 rpm seems like a no-brainer. Instead, we get an entire page devoted to the hologram - a non-essential gimmick that you'll likely look at right away and never look at again. Also, the original Robert Williams cover doesn't look sharp and probably isn't high enough resolution to fit (or spread out if you have a newer version) on the…

    Weapons and roses are the best in my rating

    We bought the AFD vinyl add-on. Missed it from the start. Much. We sent it back and got a replacement. Missing too. Much. I would not recommend this vinyl edition. It looks like there are production issues that caused records to be skipped.

    This record sounds AMAZING! The hologram on the D side is also very cool. The artwork on the cover is really eye catching and the distribution is amazing too. Highly recommended for all GnR fans!

    Why not offer a super musical edition?

    The Blu-ray disc is great and pretty much the only reason I bought this item. How many people (in their 40s and 50s) will constantly flatter a book with reprinted photos/memorabilia, ticket replicas, and temporary tattoos? I'm glad I waited for the price to drop to $70 at the time of writing this review.

    this is a record i bought at walmart and the cute jungle/paradise side panel jumps like crazy every few seconds for a few seconds and then comes back. Didn't even try from the 2nd disc, didn't even bother

    Great presentation but disappointing press - don't recommend

    This was given away for Christmas. The presentation of the album is amazing. Unfortunately, the pressure is terrible. Sounds great, but "Welcome to the Jungle" lasts about a minute. I came back and asked for another pressing. Subsequent printing met the same fate. The return policy is very fast. And the new album arrived quickly. Right now I'm trying to decide if the third time is a charm. I received my third copy of this album on January 27th, 21st. Unfortunately, this album is also defective.

    The sound quality of the vinyl is fantastic, I think it's the best record in my collection. The retractable poster and photos are fantastic, a must have for any gun enthusiast.

    Bought a box (supposedly imperfect) box set. The defect was barely noticeable. Saved money. A great box set for any Guns N Roses fan, not just an avid fan. Recommended ! Lots of extras!

    I haven't listened to GNR for a long time. It was great, I think what I liked the most was the individual photos of the band members. I liked them so much that I bought frames for each one and hung them. The discs are great too. A lot of stuff I've never heard before, plus a really good live CD from them.
