The Mac Pro Security Lock Adapter lets you use a compatible Kensington or similar style third-party lock (sold separately) to keep your Mac Pro secure. he adapter attaches without tools and does not modify or damage the Mac. With a compatible lock connected, the Mac Pro Lock Adapter secures the housing to the enclosure, preventing access to internal components. Fully compatible with Mac Pro (Late 2013) and most third-party Kensington or similar locks. Enables Mac Pro (Late 2013) to be physically secured with a compatible lock (sold separately). With a third-party lock attached, prevents Mac Pro from being opened, protecting internal components.

Premium quality but tricky setup.

Does what it should. Feels very secure and works with any Kensington lock. It'll probably take you 10 minutes to figure out how to install this damn thing, but when you do, your Mac Pro will be ready to stay in the office overnight.

Nicely made and effective Mac Pro security mount

This solves the security issue for me and does it well. The mount conforms to the shape of the Mac Pro, effectively tethering a very expensive computer to the table. The idea is to slow down the cracker. It gets the job done efficiently.

There aren't many locks for the Mac Pro and given the design, they're pretty easy to steal. I did a little research and came across this adapter. I think it's definitely a bit pricey, but in the end it works. There is no cable included that you need to purchase separately, and you definitely NEED a cable. Why they include it is just beyond me. So crazy! I did a little research and bought a Kensington lock here at Revain and it works FANTASTIC with this adapter…
