There aren't many locks for the Mac Pro and given the design, they're pretty easy to steal. I did a little research and came across this adapter. I think it's definitely a bit pricey, but in the end it works. There is no cable included that you need to purchase separately, and you definitely NEED a cable. Why they include it is just beyond me. So crazy! I did a little research and bought a Kensington lock here at Revain and it works FANTASTIC with this adapter. (http://www.amazon.com/Kensington-64068F-MicroSaver-Laptop-Business/dp/B00000K4KH/ref=pd_bxgy_147_img_2?ie=UTF8& refRID=1BHTZJWFQVTHX2ZZV68A). it's not much, but i'm sure how it fits. At first I did not understand how the lock and key on the adapter itself work, but after installing the adapter on the computer, you need to insert the lock into the adapter, laying the computer on its side. Yes, it's round and has no sides, so it's a little awkward to hold. and then turn the lock a certain way to lock it. I did a test run NOT on the computer and then asked a friend to hold the computer while I locked it up. I will continue to look for more modern locks for my computer as they are developed but for now this works. See the photo below how I connected it. I wrapped the Kensington cable around my monitor wall mounts and voila! However, you must lock the adapter after you install the adapter to the computer, and to do this you must lay the computer on its side.
