The Perfect Encryption Solution for the Mobile X Platform

The Perfect Encryption Solution for the Mobile X Platform I bought an Apricorn Aegis padlock six weeks ago. I've used it almost daily on Mac OS (Sierra) and Windows platforms without any problems. This is a reliable product. While relatively expensive in terms of storage (480GB SSD), its encryption technology, X-platform features, and superior design make it a cost-effective component of my overall security and privacy needs.

Pros
  • Programmable Brute Force Protection
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Works as advertised!

Excellent performance for an encrypted hard drive. I'm getting transfer speeds of around 180MB/s. The form factor is also great. Much less than I expected.

Pros
  • Compatible with Aegis Configurator

Excellent hard drive for business data protection

Excellent hard drive for business data protection. This particular model uses a SanDisk SD7SF6S256G1122 SSD. It heats up a bit for those who like it extra warm. Pros: Large portable size. Easy to setup/configure. Robust housing. Cons: Warms up to an average of 42°C. Room temperature 24°C

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
