Works great, but check out the highlighted tips for a better installation and usage experience.

Great product that has allowed me to get rid of all single room humidifiers and refill them constantly. A few hints. 1. Make sure you route the 6" vent tube from the round hole back to the air intake. I've seen some people just leave it open after attaching it to the heater side of the duct. Humidifiers of this type do not work properly and you miss out on a more even distribution of moisture. 2. Remove the faucet and install the ball valve. You must adjust the ball valve so that only a trickle

My Ecobee controls humidity

Fantastic university. It's easy for a dier to install (though doing so will void your warranty) and will keep a poorly sealed, air-conditioned 2,200 square foot townhouse evenly in the 40% humidity range. By connecting to my Ecobee 3 smart thermostat (automatically adjusts humidity based on the weather), my humidity is maintained perfectly - even when the outside weather is fluctuating (60°F one day, 20°F the next). Very happy with this whole house humidifier. I installed it myself with no professional experience. That being said, I spent about 5 hours digging into the installation methods as the instructions provided are difficult for the layperson to understand, and also do not reflect new builds with stove tops with dedicated humidifier circuits (labeled HUM).
