The camera works with its own application all the time, but does not work with Apple HomeKit without the presence of the "apple" device's Wi-Fi network. Surely it is treated if there is an iPad at home or an iPod that does not leave the apartment, but we have not tested such a trick. For some, this may be a very important difference. However, in the Aqara application, all bixby devices are visible and this is perhaps the cheapest smart hub on the market, which is also 2in1.
The same application provides various automations, including the ability to warn if there is movement in the field of view. A sharp notification comes to the movement, "Emergency" push, the feature of which is that it always comes with sound. It's good, BUT. The application does not have any of the functionality of ip-cameras that have existed in camera software for many years, such as creating "active" and "ignored" zones or recognizing objects in a motion field. As a result, the camera reacts to the movement of shadows from the branches outside the window, from the clouds running across the sun behind the balcony door, and in general to completely “side” movements, that is, if, for example, shadows from passing headlights fall into the camera’s field of view, it will notify will be every time. We've had false positives more than once.
On the other hand, this is easily leveled by changing the location of the camera, since it has a convenient support. But there is no (or did not find) a mode of fixing upside down, on the ceiling for example or under a shelf, with an image flip.
So I'm not willing to take a point down for this - other than that, this is an excellent little smart home hub camera for great money.
