The first product was broken but the replacement product was good. Great size and colour. Note that this is ceramic and is fragile. I originally bought this for my Kuhli loaches but after seeing the texture I'm not sure, I'll probably use it in my shrimp tank instead. Also, parts of the black paint seem to be peeling off already, so I'm not sure if that would be an issue in the tank. But it seems ok.

My shrimp love this shop. You keep knocking! I'm not sure if they know that I see them fucking, but other shrimp are everywhere and they don't care! It's like free for everyone. Sometimes I would find dead shrimp right behind the pipes and think they just had too much time and when they were done the other shrimp would just pull them out and keep banging. Be prepared for baby shrimp when you get this thing because they don't seem to use protection.

I have several of these. The first, as it is, with a ghost shrimp, they didn't approach it. I wrapped one with java moss, the other stuffed a hole at one end, now the hotel is full. You seem to like Java Moss the most. I wrapped it around one end so they can come out on their own if needed or help keep others out. Bought hoping my shrimp would have a little more hiding place as I have a small Bstta in their tank and of course they started exploring as soon as I put it in. You might not spend a lot of time in it, but I think you need to give it some time to get some of those tasty bacteria that shrimp love. Color from dark gray to black. Not pure black. Not necessarily a bad thing. However, note that other ceramic tubes may vary in color. After all, this thing is huge. If it's medium, I can't even imagine

When I bought this I had a bunch of ghost shrimp. Small ones were constantly hiding in these tubes. I pointed it towards the front of the tank so I can look in and see the shrimp. It's pretty funny to see them going in and out. The larger shrimp didn't mind and were the only ones who got stuck for a few minutes. My only complaint is that these tubes are oddly polished and may need a grind. The feel against human skin creates a lot of friction and worried me when some fish rubbed against it…
