You must use a biofilter for your aquarium. This unique part is essential.

This bio filter is perfect for my aquarium. The biomass substitute is easy to use as I change it every three months. Good places need good bacteria in the aquarium that improve the water quality. I've been using it for a month now and no nitrates I imagine Gwen I'm testing the water.

Terrible quality the best of aquarium pumps and filters

I ordered this product once and received a pack of the new Biomax which I like better than the rough and brittle Biomax that came with the filter. This time I came across 2 bags of extremely poor quality Biomax, even worse than Biomax which came with a filter. Each piece is chunky, brittle, and unevenly sized. It's so bad I suspect it's fake. I will never buy this again.

Good product improvement.

Very good product! The one that came with my filter also came with a pouch and you had to fill the pouch and all. It's never been flat. Earlier this week I noticed that my filter was missing a filter and the filter cover was ajar. After trying to figure out who it was, I thought maybe one of my four-legged friends was involved. After about an hour of searching and then about 30 more minutes of searching later in the day. I broke down and bought this one. I'm very happy with it but it was sent…
