Description of 🐠 AQUANEAT Pack of 4 Double Bio Sponge Filters for Fry, Betta, Shrimp, Nano Aquarium Fish Tank – Enhanced SEO

Sponge filter provide both mechanical and bio filtration, also, the air infusion chamber produces minute bubbles which increase the oxygen solubility. Easy to Set up & Clean: Simply install an airline into the unit and turn on the air pump; simply rinse and squeeze sponge in tank water. Recommend Tank Size: Up to 55 gallon, excellent for small size fish like dwarf cichlid, guppy, killifish etc ; or for hatcheries, maternity tanks, and fry tanks, as the filter produces minimal current and has almost no way to suck the fish through the filter. Dimension: 6.5”L x 2.4”W x 9.5”H. Includes: sponge filter 4 pcs.

The best filters for shrimp!

Do you know why you shouldn't use dish sponges because they breed bacteria? Therefore, this type of filter is ideal for shrimp, small fish and aquascapes with plants! They help balance the ecosystem by pushing water through natural bacteria, creating a great ecosystem. I've been using them for over six months now and they're just a great investment, even better when you connect them all to the same piping system and save on energy costs to run the filters. Worth the cost and time to set up.

no suction cups so they just float

Photo shows 2 suction cups on the back of each vertical tube - without these it's all on the surface and totally useless. ALSO very false advertising. Well, if they include suction cups: the tube extends almost twice as long - which is great, and the sponges are probably 30 or 40 PPI, they clog up quickly if you have a dirty tank, but you definitely won't get stuck. Overall if I got suction cups for all 4 filters I would give 4 stars as now I have to buy suction cups to even use them…

Exactly what I wanted most in Fish & Aquatic Pets

Ideal for my shrimp tank, suction cups work well on glass and acrylic. The hole in the air line bracket is too small for most hoses and the thin hose is difficult to push through. The prop is optional and easily modified with a blade if you feel like it. Small warps in the plastic can cause the sponge grips to be at odd angles, but they can still rotate. 4 is unbeatable for the price. They were clean and didn't smell of chemicals. Update my others are still valid but I just bought a second 4…

I will never use another filter for my bettas again

I have been using them in all my betta tanks since the day I knew I needed sponge filters. They are MUCH lighter on their fins and don't bother them at all! With other filters you have to worry about how strong the flow will be, but that's not a problem. They work with a regular air pump and hose so are very easy to install. I also love how the sponges just slide off so I don't have to take everything out of the tank. I can just take a sponge, squeeze it into the used aquarium water during a…

CRUSHED Package too small for 4

This is the second order after the first batch was returned due to the same issue. Clamping four filters into a bag for two, and squeezing and deforming foam filters. Two were so badly smashed that they were only half the height of the pipe they run through and would not allow filtration (if one was used), the other two were flat on both sides. Nothing I tried was able to bring them back to normal, so I put them back. Now the second batch is the same except only one is deformed badly enough not

Pros
  • Easy install

  • Some issues

Sponge filters: the simplest, most effective filtration on the market

Sponge filters provide optimal filtration and water flow for fish and invertebrates that require low water flow and are small enough to be sucked into traditional mounted filters and canister filters to become. A fine sponge is also great for picking up dirt and food debris that fish and shrimp can feast on. Sponge filters are notoriously large, bulky and can stand out in most aquariums as they are usually a giant black (or green) sponge with a large weighted base that is often very difficult…
