DIY mode is the only way.

First of all, one could argue with river lighting. He's bright! The only thing I found wrong is if you leave it in the default timer mode no matter what you set. it still turns off at 18:30. But in homemade mode it works as it should. However, note that it takes 15 minutes to increase or decrease the brightness to your chosen brightness. So I just changed the start time to 0:45.

Great budget lamp

This lamp is a fantastic budget lamp for my 40 gallon tank! So many color options but the most useful are the adjustable 12 and 24 hour modes. I was able to keep them on a natural 8 hour cycle and reduce them to 6 when the algae got out of control and in special cases the DIY mode is really helpful as you can adjust specific timing and brightness. Excellent in everything.

Cannot be defeated. for fish and aquatic animals

I've had two Hyuggers and I have to say they're amazing value for money. This is probably the most powerful LED lighting you can get without spending a fortune on AI or Kessil stuff. These things are PUNCHY and still have no problem growing bright red plants. They are also very waterproof as my little one can attest after falling in a tank a few times. It's already two years old and I haven't lost a single diode yet. The timer is pretty easy to use, although the poorly translated instructions…

  • New to my collection

Great little cheap flashlight

I bought this flashlight for a small 3 gallon tank to put on my desk. I planted one of these climbing houseplants along with a fire sword from my 125 gallon home aquarium. The fire sword works a lot better than I expected, and the houseplant creeper is just insane. I had to reduce the brightness and duration of the light due to algae growth, but I did the same with my FluvalSmart 3.0 bulbs for my 125 gallon. Retains settings when switched off, except for resetting the clock. I just had to set…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

With 4, works with a 150 gallon deep tank (fresh water)

My show tank, 2x2x5, uses 4 of these, the timer is good as all the lights switch within a few seconds of the others. The light keeps my bottom plants (and floats) alive. Due to the 5ft length I couldn't install long blocks and get the light I needed so I ended up with a size that could be butted together. The tank was originally for salt water and had two metal halides and they got hot, 6 fans in the hood, one of the ballasts failed so on a better day I ordered the 1st pair they used on the…

Great flashlight at a great price

I bought this light for my Waterbox Marine X 110.4 aquarium. Freshwater fish live in the aquarium and this lantern provides sufficient light. I know that there are lamps that can cost anywhere from $500 to $1000. I'm sure these lights are good but to be honest they are not needed. The money they take is excessive and wasted in my humble opinion. I design LED circuits and I know how much they should cost. My 2 cents again. This light does everything except bluetooth control. This is negligible…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Excellent light for plants and fish!

I have to say that for a planted freshwater aquarium or just an aquarium, this light is incredible, especially considering the cost. I have tried many lights and this gives the best colored light to keep the fish looking good and the right spectrum for the plants to thrive. Yes, figuring out custom programming is a little tricky, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard with the light in front of you. To help others, here are some tips: DO NOT PLAY WITH THE LIGHT AT ALL WHEN IT IS IN

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Minor issues
