Description of ๐Ÿ’ฆ Aquasana 20 Inch Sediment Pre Filters: Essential Replacement for Optimal Performance

Replacement 20-inch, sediment pre-filter for Aquasana Whole House Systems (4-pack). Use genuine Aquasana replacements only - untested replacements are not certified for performance capacity or contaminant removal. Designed to prevent dirt and sediment particles from entering and clogging the main filter unit. Replace filters every 1-3 months depending on water quality and sediment levels - when color darkens or water flow slows. Replacements made easy - no plumber required.

Replace every 3 months - as described.

I have a well and I run water first through the softener and then through the filter pack (pre-filter, main carbon filter and then post-filter). They say to change this filter every 3 months. Of course you forgot, and I did mine after 5 months - only to see that it was barely a tan color. My guess is that the larger debris gets filtered out in the softener (and which auto-flushes from time to time) so little material gets into the filter. I will probably still change the filter every 4 monthsโ€ฆ

Too expensive - kitchen and bathroom fixtures

Whatever they say about particle size filtration, I find the price of a post-filter outrageous. I feel like the pre-filter and media in the actual tanks should do most of the work. Pre and post filters are optional in this system. Given the high cost of the main unit, the pre- and post-filters should provide the minimum system efficiency. If the application only corresponds to the size of the tanks, no pre- and post-filters are required anyway. I admit that UV light is an added bonus to anyโ€ฆ

Good product, beware of procrastinators

fits, good price However, if you put off the replacement for 2 years, 6 months and a few days and really only do it because the water pressure has dropped to a slow trickle, be careful be. When the water pressure returns to normal thanks to the new filter, all the dirt that has accumulated in the tanks due to the low water pressure will be washed out. If you also forget to bleed the line, you could end up with an angry spouse. Especially when she's the first to use the water to flush theโ€ฆ
