ok thanks ok the filter eats fish

we have had this aquarium for 4 months now. It doesn't leak, it doesn't shine too brightly, but the filter that comes with it is terrible. Not once, not twice, but FIVE TIMES we found a dead fish stuck in a spinning motor. This is really frustrating for kids and one fish was 3 inches long so I don't even know how it fits in. If you plan to put a bigger fish in it, maybe you will succeed?

Looks attractive, difficult to handle.

Bought this as a starter tank for my son for Christmas. I have several complaints. The dome light has no slots for the heating cable or aerator tube, so all you have to do is get it working and the dome now sits like a sealant. Also, I think the pump is too strong for the tank because of the hex shape. Almost the entire aquarium is very turbulent, which causes the feed to go straight to the bottom and is out of reach for the fish, resulting in unpleasant dirty water much sooner than usual. Also

I ended up replacing it with a simple filter sponge. The second issue I encountered was the light. Dear God, they are bright. The tank is in my child's room and at night it looks like it's throwing a bright party there. He uses it as a night light and since I've had this aquarium I've been struggling with algal blooms from the 6 hours of…

Rigid Tank - Fish and Aquatics

Great if you know what you want. I really like the look of tall tanks but you have to admit that they limit the number of suitable fish as they don't have much width. Also, it's too small for most fish that like a vertical aquarium. I plan to add Mexican dwarf crabs, a few snakes and a beta to this tank once the plants are established, appropriate in shape and size for the biological load and the territory. If you need a wider range of options for what will thrive in your tank, look for…
