Nice for a change

I love Arches paper and always use cold press so I wanted to try a design to see the difference. It has its own space for specific applications, such as B. Landscapes. Doesn't absorb a bit if you don't moisten the paper first.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Annoying

Rough watercolor paper

Decided to try it. Unfortunately, this watercolor paper is too rough for me. I just wanted to try. Paper to see how it handles different levels of moisture.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Angry

Excellent paper suitable for watercolor paper

This is my favorite watercolor paper. It's strong enough to really suck in and I don't glue it down, I just hold it and let the water and paint flow where I want. It has a nice surface structure that gives very good textures when used dry. It's cheaper than Β£300, which I like too, but can be discounted with good results.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Contemporary

Good Paper - Art, Painting & Art Supplies

I only use this paper for the finished painting, not for class. I have another paper for that. It's expensive in my opinion, so using it for practice is ridiculous if you don't have the money to spend it. Paper is very easy to draw on and absorbs a lot of water, so be sure to stretch it. before use. Secure it well because it will bend. This is true for most if not all watercolor papers. It would be nice if the price went down. Not many papers for this money.

  • Satisfied
Cons

From meeh to wow!: Art Paper

I've been using Arches for about 6 months after my art teacher insisted I keep the cheaper paper. I thought it was the teacher's speech, but she was right. I started cold pressing the bows and my work improved immediately. I love texture so hot pressing didn't work for me and I was fine with cold pressing until one day I decided to try rough and I LOVE it. I still refer to the cold edition sometimes (I have about 4-5 books in my reserve), but more and more I find myself drawing in draft form.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competition appeared

Quality that is worth the price

I didn't expect to like this paper so much. While I've always liked smooth paper better, over time I've gravitated towards textured paper, and this one is quite textured. It absorbs well and stays wet for a decent amount of time while you work, but if left alone it also dries fairly quickly. It's a bit pricey for the number of sheets, but the quality makes it worth it in my opinion. Also, I work a little, so I cut the sheets in half or less. I haven't had much time to paint on it yet, but can't

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Base required
