Warm enough for the kids of Alaska - the seams are bursting

They fit great and it's very easy for kids to get dressed and go out, they are true to size and keep my kids warm (I live in Alaska, for context). My only complaint is that the knee seam ripped on both sets we purchased. This was an easy fix, but still a little annoying given they're relatively new.

Pros
  • We do a lot of outdoor activities and it's perfect for playing in the snow, 4 wheeling, tubing and sledding!
Cons
  • May not fit properly due to X-Large Husky markings.

lasted most of the winter

This snowsuit is almost perfect, I just wish it was a little more durable. We made it to the march before he broke his leg. I would buy it again as a last resort but be prepared that you won't be able to use it for more than one season or as a hand.

Pros
  • Prevents frostbite and hypothermia
Cons
  • May not be suitable for outdoor activities such as skiing or snowboarding.

Ripped right away in my review

Untenable. My son, who isn't really all that rough with things, usually came back after 2 uses with a torn armpit. So it happened that I repaired it and after 2 weeks the other armpit was torn.

Pros
  • Stay warm and dry! Worn at -18F and no complaints about the cold!
Cons
  • May not have enough pockets for kids to put their belongings

Order one size larger - my new review

I have a very small 12 year old. Size 12 ordered.... Except for the ass gap. I wish I had ordered 16. Lots of warmth, no need to wear layers underneath (skiing in Colorado).

Pros
  • Quality zippers that stand up to repeated use
Cons
  • May not provide adequate insulation in windy conditions

Poor quality, the best in my rating

I bought this costume for my daughter, she has worn it 4 times and the seams have come undone in 2 places. Since it's so expensive, I was wondering what to do with it. The hole on the arm is very neat and it is clearly visible that the seams on the leg are the same. She's hardly worn it, so it's definitely not wear and tear.

Pros
  • I bought 6 of these in different sizes...very happy with all of them
Cons
  • It was stained like it had been worn.

The thing broke the second time. Terrible stitch quality and certainly won't stand up to actual use. May not be suitable for children with special needs or mobility challenges!

Pros
  • Affordable price for families on a budget
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with special needs or mobility issues

Poor stitching in my review

The seams are not good. Not well done. As a result, I saw through all the seams and cut the threads. The material is good but the stitching is not very good.

Pros
  • Really thick fabric
Cons
  • May be too difficult for some children

PERFECT - my new rating

My sons love to play in the snow. You'll be out for HOURS staying warm and dry. Never complain about how cold they are when wearing these suits. GREAT quality and great price. We bought them the next size up and they can easily wear them this year with extra room next year.

Pros
  • Calidad, es lo que esperaba, recommended!
Cons
  • Not as described.

Broken multiple times

We bought two of these overalls and both times they were torn on the sides. Very disappointing - don't waste your money on this.

Pros
  • This snow suit is really good except when I received it there were crumbs and dirt in the pockets.
Cons
  • Came in patches, all white on the outside had a yellow cloud as if something had spilled

She loves it! in my opinion

This suit kept my granddaughter warm and dry even when she was skating in the snow all day. The cold wind was way below 0 at times, but it was still nice and warm.

Pros
  • Perfect gift for winter birthdays and holidays
Cons
  • May be too hot to wear indoors for long periods of time

Simple work only the best in my rating

I bought this for my son to play outside in his outdoor school in the fall. Literally after a few weeks of wearing it broke in several places. I'm sure it's fine if it was just snow, but don't send a kid into the woods with that.

Pros
  • Elasticated cuffs and ankles for snow protection
Cons
  • May not have adjustable cuffs and hem resulting in an uncomfortable fit.

Well done my review

Haven't given them to my grandkids yet but they appear to be well made and seem warm. It's thin enough not to be bulky and bulky for a small child, but with Thinsulate they should be warm.

Pros
  • Engineered for easy movement and flexibility
Cons
  • May not have a removable liner, reducing versatility.

Great snow suit! in my rating

I can't believe this snowsuit is so great for such a low price! It's basically the same as very expensive high-end brands.

Pros
  • I love how warm it is. I want velcro to be sewn on. Must constantly stick with textile glue.
Cons
  • A week later, the socks began to come apart at the seams.

Wonderful! Reminds me of windbreakers from the 90s!

I bought a 3T for my little boy in blue and it definitely matches 3T/4T. The quality is excellent! Exactly what I expected. He is very fat. I love the double blue color! Reminds me of the windproof suits my brother and I wore together in the 90's! Will order for my oldest son (10 years old). Those are Christmas presents! You will love them. And they will be so warm when they play snowballs this winter. I will also be able to SEE them clearly! No disguise in the woods, which is important if you…

Pros
  • Zipper

We live in Upper Minnesota

My 7 year old wanted a one piece snowsuit for school so he doesn't have to dress as much during recess. I bought this one size up hoping it will fit next year. He wears a size 8 and I bought a 10/12 and it fits perfectly. Slightly longer on arms and legs, but fits over boots and keeps snow and drafts out. He likes long sleeves with thumb holes to keep snow off his wrists. This snowsuit covers him completely and keeps him warm and dry. actually so warm that he sweats. The waitress asks him if…

Pros
  • Machine washable
Cons
  • Not as bulky as other designs

Acceptable low-cost alternative with expected compromises

We used to have Obermeyer one piece snowsuits that were growing up and couldn't find Obermeyer anymore, so we looked for alternatives and decided on this one based on reviews and price. The suit is warm, waterproof enough for the snow and inexpensive. It does an acceptable job for us, and there are some trade-offs to consider. Hopefully they will hold up with use and not get punctured on the outside as others have noted. Tailoring is not the best quality. See attached photo straight out of the…

Pros
  • THERMALOCK: Robust coating that offers greater resistance to external conditions such as cold, wind, water and snow. Also offers impact and abrasion resistance
Cons
  • Some tear resistance
