Description of 📸 Enhance Raspberry Pi Camera's Focus and Angle with Arducam's Adjustable Lens Board, Perfect for Raspberry Pi 4/3/3 B+

Focus the sharpest way - From less than an inch to infinity, you get easy focus control on a 5MP Raspberry Pi camera simply by spinning and tuning the lens and the locking ring. Check B07SN8GYGD for software autofocus/manual focus. Compose the perfect frame - You decide how to frame up the best image by picking an m12 lens with the best FoV (Field of View) you need with a variety of M12 lenses on the market to choose from. Example projects - Shoot a waterdrop half an inch away with tuned focus; Shoot a QR code or A4 paper from the other end of the room with telephoto M12 lens; Stitch a panorama with fisheye m12 lens. Options - Get M12 lens set “Arducam LK001” for optical testing and “Arducam LK002” for minimum distortion in machine vision; Get “Arducam B0055” for m12 fisheye and “Arducam B003503” for m12 night vision. Get a lens without IR filter to make this camera IR sensitive. Contact Arducam for other options. Note - 1. This board is slightly larger(36cm) than the official Raspberry Pi Camera V2 so it does not fit some cases for Raspberry Pi, but it’s natively compatible with the commands and scripts; 2. It works with Pi Zero, but you will need to buy an extra cable. 3. Be gentle while changing the lens and holders or you might damage the thread, but it’s easily fixable with a new m12 holder.

Seems ok but got this without the stand

Too bad I spent the extra $3 and got the stand as you can't buy it separately. I haven't been able to use it much, so until I can print something I'm not good at CAD, or I find a way to install it, it's just another electronics sitting on the bench.

Nice little Raspberry Pi camera for the money

Bought to use as a timelapse/monitor camera for my Octoprint server. It connected and was recognized by a simple reboot of the RPI3B. Overall: Good: - The image has decent clarity and resolution, more than enough for the task of monitoring my 3D printer - The module is very light and easy to move - Ready to use out of the box with the default Octoprint setting Bad: - focus is a little "soft" but image is sharp - standard lens is oddly aspherical - included ribbon cable is fairly short (maybe 6…

The camera works, but what was sent does not match the picture.

The sent camera module no longer matches the picture. It looks like the manufacturer changed the design so that the ribbon cable mount is on the front instead of the back. This may not matter to some, but if you use a case design that includes tape on the back, the case will no longer fit. They need to update their photo.

Works great and gives lenses more flexibility

This camera is a great option for Rpi. I really like interchangeable lenses as I use them in a closer position and it allows me to control what goes into the video image. I bought 3 additional lenses for about $12 which made the whole system very affordable. Keep in mind that when you buy this board you won't be able to use most standard Rpi camera bodies. This is a slightly different size so they can accommodate larger lenses.

Terrible lens, no wide angle

I bought it because or the seller's answer to the user's question about the field of view (FOV). "Standard lens: HX-27227, FOV=105, .website-specs. spec "Diagonal FOV=105°" If this is the case, the horizontal field of view should be around 95°, wider than a right angle. It's easy to verify that this isn't the case, it's much tighter. I estimate it to be around 50 degrees at best. And the barrel distortion is very noticeable. This is acceptable for a true 105° field of view lens, not a 50° field

Great camera for a 3D printer webcam

Great little camera, it worked for me right away with no additional setup. Not only is it cheaper than the Raspberry Pi camera module, but it also includes an excellent lens with an M12x0.5 adjustable focus lens holder. The adjustable focus is important for close-up focusing, such as. B. a 3D printer webcam. Note that the official Pi camera module has a fixed focus at infinity. It also uses the same OV5647 focal plane as the official Pi camera module.

I can't see IR. Well!

Better than the previous three cameras I've tried as everyone can see the IR like it's something super cool. It's not like this. It DESTROYS your image. You can't focus IR and visible light at the same time without a very complex lens system. IC is not here. I have an electric light in the room to provide light as 90% have to sleep in the same room. Happy

Get better results with an old 720p webcam

EDIT: Arducam have contacted me and are doing their best to fix everything. And that means a lot in my book. While the camera doesn't fit my particular use case, it appears to be functional and otherwise produces decent images. I am editing this review to reflect this. I bought the camera specifically for use with Octolapes and the truth is the sensor just can't handle those conditions. For other purposes, I'm sure the camera would be a great addition to a manufacturer's toolbox. I wish this…

My first choice for my dog camera project.

I was trying out a couple of Pi cameras for a project to keep an eye on my dog when I'm not at home. This module works perfectly with raspistill and raspivid. I tested it with Pi 3B+ and Pi Zero W. Worked great. I particularly like the ability to switch lenses. These 12mm lenses work better for my application than the larger CS lenses. As other reviewers point out, be careful when changing lenses. If you mess up the threads, you can replace the mount with one that comes with many 12mm lenses. I

Really improves with the new lens

For the price this is a really very good camera. I already had several different lenses from other projects I've done in the past. This is one of their advantages over fixed-lens cameras. There are many different lenses for this mount. Another thing I really like is that there are no components on the back of the camera and you can use a strong sticky double sided tape like 3M VHB to attach it and then remove it without damage. Image quality is good and the included ribbon cable is neither too…
