Less than we would like. Some large drinks need to be precariously balanced. And the surface is too smooth, which makes it difficult to hold the drink, and when water accumulates, it simply runs off, violating the purpose of the coaster.

So cute and reasonably priced EDIT: I'm demoting this to 3 stars because glass condensation is causing the coasters to stick to the glass. It's not a problem with hot drinks, but I have to peel the glass off the coaster every time I drink something cold, it drives me insane.

Love the design and aesthetics, they look really nice and can be arranged in different designs but there are a few downsides: if I use ice and condensate a little more than usual, go stick them to the glass. I carried the coaster half a room through the bottom of my glass before it fell off. They are so light that (in addition to the first disadvantage) they can easily be moved around the table and then not look as nice as if they were perfectly positioned. They also get dirty pretty quickly…
