There is a plastic insert in the bushing about an inch or so that changes it from "deep bushing" to "shallow bushing" so my mom doesn't get it right grips, rounding the edge off when I tried to apply torque. I had to take it off by driving a REAL CRAFTSMAN MADE 12 point head into the lug nut until it was strong enough to tighten, destroying what was left of the nut. I will say right away that I had to replace the mother. Stay away from that trash can.

I have black eyebolts on my M2 and they broke my normal wrench during the winter/summer wheel swap. I was hoping this product wouldn't ruin them. However, it seems more about not damaging the wheel and to hell with the nuts/bolts. It has a plastic grommet that sits between the bushing and the lug nut/bolt hole so it protects the cavity but doesn't really do anything to protect the painted nuts/bolts themselves.

The description states that this socket has an overall length of 85mm, so ideal when you need a bit more length for longer screws or even screws that are difficult to reach. ” but the inner plastic part makes the effective socket depth only 11 mm (less than 1/2 inch). That means it hooks about half the length of my lug nuts. Otherwise it looks well made, but the shallow effective depth on a long base is impractical. I'll bring this back and look for something similar but deeper.

With 4 cars in the fleet I sometimes grabbed the 22mm head when removing the wheels. I've been using one of these sets for several years so I disassembled it and added it to the collection at this size. Decent head - 22mm as described. As with others, there is a trade-off between the thickness of the metal and the thickness of the protective case. It seems a bit thicker than I expected (it fits my wheels just right), but it works.

I have used it several times to remove and install nuts/bolts on my car. I'm concerned about durability as any thin-walled socket will eventually crack with repeated hits with an impact wrench. That's why real percussion jacks have thick walls. My screws are tightened to 160 Nm. For removal and installation I use a Ryobi cordless impact wrench with full power. Wow I honestly didn't think I would write this review. But the 19mm socket I ordered came with a white center inner protector piece that was deformed and could not fit the socket. I had to cut off the deformed area, but it still wouldn't sit in the nest. Very bad quality. The exterior feels flimsy and cheap and I wonder how well it will hold up.
