Great stone! in cutlery and knife accessories

I use this almost every day. This is great for making a razor blade on my pocket knife. I ordered 3 for gifts but they were all broken in two when they arrived. I use these pieces to this day, they proved to be the perfect size to carry around on the hunt to sharpen my skinning knife.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • boring packaging

Absolute disappointment! It broke while sharpening!

Bullshit! It broke when I was sharpening my knife! Disappointed as I was really looking forward to getting a ceramic sharpening tool! It broke while sharpening a mini tactical knife after sharpening it in stone! I hope the company will contact me and maybe replace?

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Long delivery time

What a joke. . . Best Cutlery & Knife Accessories

Whatever you do, don't fall for this trick. I mean, I'll admit I read all the other reviews that said it broke apart before I even opened the box/package and yes! so it was with this one. I just hoped that I would get lucky. (The bottom rim of the ceramic plate actually works fine.) Here, please take my money. DOH! ! !

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Fade

Good ceramic sharpener for the price

Sharpener was sent in bubble wrap. Surprised that the sharpener didn't break in transit. Bought to sharpen curved pruning shears blades. He did a good job sharpening the blades. Use dish soap to clean the ceramic and all the metal shavings have come off. Good intermediate sharpener. I will be using Stein 3000 and 6000 for finishing kitchen knives and folding knives.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Nothing

Highly recommended knife sharpener

I have been using a sharpener for 8 years and have never been able to keep my JA Henkel 8 inch chef's knife sharp. After using this ceramic sharpener for 30 seconds, the same blade cut cleanly through a sheet of paper. After a paper test I managed to cut 2 acorn zucchini. It worked great on my Henkel International straight steak knives.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Good grip - seems strong for a ceramic lead

Good grip - seems strong for a ceramic lead. I dropped it on carpet/furniture several times and it survived! I gave the knife my palm, there was immediately a new sharp edge. (This wand is for sharpening/polishing the edge of an undamaged blade. If your blade is cut you will need a whetstone.) The glue on the price sticker on the handle was a real hassle to remove! About 70% alcohol, then furniture polish and "elbow grease" LOL

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Works as described!

This product is as advertised and works as described! ceramic rod size 6 3/4" instead of 7" described; this is within the margin of error. My wife preferred a 9 to 10 inch length. One of the serious disadvantages is that the handle does not have a protective flange that prevents the sharpened (sharpened) knife from slipping and injuring the user. I plan to buy a stainless steel washer (hard plastic will work too) and glue it on to act as a safety flange.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Damaged

Very easy to keep my knives insanely sharp.

This sharpener is amazing! I have been able to keep all my knives in good condition and it has already helped me process 2 deer. This is a high grit sharpener so the blades should already be somewhat sharp. I usually sharpen the whetstone first and then use it to give my knife the finishing touch. I usually sharpen 2 or 3 times during processing and after a few uses for small jobs. This completes the blade and saves me having to pull the whetstone out again. However, remember that you must useโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Count me among those who don't understand how a ceramic rod can make such a difference in the final edge of a knife blade. I just didn't understand and didn't believe it. Now I regret not trying it much sooner. This stone is very easy to use and once you learn how to maintain a good knife blade angle in relation to the abrasive when sharpening, this stone (any good ceramic stone) makes a world of difference and I'm very close to creating something a razor blade. . This handlebar is well builtโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Negligible maintainability
