Description of πŸ”Œ Arlington LPCG50 1 Strain Connector with Low Profile Design

Has a unique grommet with gripping fingers. Requires 30% less area to mount. The cord connector nut needs only to be hand tightened to develop a liquid-tight seal and superior pull out resistance. A sealing ring is furnished to assure a liquid-tight seal when installing in a non-threaded opening. Doubles cord size range.

First class cable gland. MADE IN THE USA!

Arlington makes some of the finest pieces of iron. They're not cheap, but you're paying for a quality American product.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • weak

Put this on a Shopsmith power supply, required.

I put this on a Shopsmith power supply, had to open a hole in the sheet metal slightly, but this relief really fixes the cable in place.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Negative is present

Watch out for large diameter cables.

This is a very good product but I have used it with a 12/3 SJ cable and could hardly get it through the nylon barbed part. I almost had to pull out the heat gun and heat up the parts!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Fits

Excellent Plastic Strain Relief

I purchased a 1/2" strain relief plug for use with Coleman 09615 14/3 Bulk Wire, 14 Gauge 18 Amp, 15 ft and it works as expected. If you need to drill a hole in the case for the connector, a 7/8" bit will do. First I tried a 3/4" bit and it was too small.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Watch out for large diameter cables.

This is a very good product but I have used it with 12/3 SJ line and could barely get it through the spiked nylon section. I almost had to pull out the heat gun and heat up the parts!

Pros
  • Double line size range
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

Pros
  • Cable connector nut only requires hand tightening for a liquid tight seal and excellent pull strength

Sophisticated strain relief!

Great job! Features an internal compression sleeve that grips the cable and provides excellent cable strain relief. It works with a variety of cable diameters. I used it with a replacement Coleman Cable 09858 14/3 SJEO Power Tool Cord. It's plastic/nylon, but a very durable variety, and apparently waterproof too (not sure if that's the official rating for it, but looks like it is). Has been in operation for 2 years without any complaints. I would definitely buy again! 5 Stars!

Pros
  • Features a unique gripper sleeve
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
