I have two of these mounts. Both are outdoors in wet South Florida weather but are under the eve and therefore direct rain. I've only had them installed for a week so I can't comment on durability or rust but I can say they are very tough. I screwed them into my house with drywall screws and then used white caulk to coat the black screw heads. I'm pretty sure I could literally hold on to them now.
