I really don't know what people have complained about. The top is removable if the kitty doesn't like it. It looks like a cat cave and as soon as I unwrapped it my kitty had to jump in there and take a nap. This bed is great! There is an inch thick butt which my kitty snuggled up to very well. I would buy another one if I didn't already have five!

My cats get their hair cut 2-3 times a year. They get cold after a haircut. I added a PetSmart Pet Warmer in an upright position on the back to keep the top from collapsing. It keeps the top and my cat warm. The normal temperature for cats is 102 degrees. I bought a Revain PetSmart heating pad 2-3 years ago. I can't find a link to it. Most likely it is not available.
