Armor All Bug & Tar Remover - Powerful Formula (16 fl oz) Review

Nothing special. It seemed to require as much effort as dish soap or other household cleaners, but obviously it's more expensive. I will not buy again

I have pearlescent white paint on my car and every year I come across squished bugs and now I've finally found a product that lives up to the hype they are doing difficult wash easily and with good results. Worth every penny.

This thing can remove bugs and bird droppings but not tar which is why I bought it. I had tiny patches of tar thrown down one side of my car. I sprayed it on and let it sit for a few minutes then wiped off with a sponge. Didn't remove a single resin stain. I'll look for something that works.

I use this to remove tree sap because I park under trees at work and it works great for that. It loosens things up. They remade the road here and that black tar was much harder to remove from a white car. It still made things easier, but I had to use my nails a little more to get those blackheads loose. Haven't used it on bird droppings but so far it's working great.

I used this to remove bugs, not to remove tar from my car after a summer drive. At best it works fine. I suspect it's a lot more eco-friendly than the old stuff you could buy (that just smelled like lighter fluid), but it didn't work quite as well or easily. I wonder how difficult it would be to remove the resin. I used a lot more than I expected to remove the bugs. I gave 3 stars because in the end I was able to get the bug innards out of the car without damage.

I live on a country road and every fall a layer of tar, sand and stones is spread on the sidewalk to seal cracks. They call it chip and seal. I usually get lots of small tar spots on my cars after yearly use. Armor All Extreme Bug and Tar Remover does not remove tar very well. I applied it as directed but most of the tar stains stayed intact and didn't come off without much effort or at all. Turtle wax and tar remover seem to work best for my situation. Summer is here and the bugs are gone. My daily commute leaves the bumper and hood of my white car covered with dead bugs and their blood. Rinsing with a pressure washer alone is not enough and washing with soap is required, so despite the conflicting reviews I gave this product a try. First, the package arrived intact. Disappointing at least. The label on the bottle says "Bug and Resin Removal" which is why I bought it. I keep my car spotless and clean and wax it every 2 weeks. During those two weeks, some tar collects on the rear wheel arch and sometimes ends up on the side skirts. This works for insects, but not for resin. To be honest, a pressure washer will do the same thing to bug guts. However, it is more convenient to simply spray on dead bugs and wipe them off after a minute. Harz is a different…
