Please read about turning off

Many reviews say this cooker is turned off. It turns off, but only when it reaches the set heating temperature. BUT once the temperature starts to drop, it will automatically turn itself back on, meaning it will stay at the heating level you set the whole time. I could cook a pot of rice with no problems.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • No instructions

Didn't turn off - benchtop burner

I have a small single burner from Aroma and it's great. I used my last one daily for years until it just died and I replaced it with the exact same model. I thought the double burner might be of the same quality. Unfortunately, the unit continued to heat the burners even when it was off. The only way to stop it was to turn it off. Fire hazard so I sent it back.

Pros
  • Handsome
Cons
  • old

and high level was good for boiling water

Stove works as advertised - obviously I've only had it a week. The burners cycle on and off, so keep that in mind when cooking if you need constant heat. It heats up fairly quickly and fries food well on medium (I've tried eggs and burgers) and on high it's good for boiling water. No complaints yet.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Be careful, you may receive a used product.

This item is used and newly packaged. It had no handle and was covered in grease and rust. Looks like someone just ordered a new one, said to return it, kept the new one, and put the old one in the box. Just reordered another brand, looked like it was well used and probably a good burner, but I was so disappointed I just ordered another brand. It was rewritten when ordered.

Perfect for waiting for a service contract RANGE

The extended warranty company offered us a ridiculously low price because they had trouble fixing it. They didn't want to pay $1500 to replace our plate and plate combination. We used this plate during the 6 weeks it took to repair the part. We could easily do EVERYTHING that was done for our full BTU burner. Everything from boiling pasta water to browning ground beef. As long as you're not in a hurry, you'll be fine. In fact, pancakes have gotten better than our gas burners. The downside is…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Much better than I expected

It takes a while to heat up of course, it only runs on the 15 amp circuit but eventually it reaches very high temperatures and the heavy steel/iron burner holds it well. We're temporarily living in a friend's basement and he doesn't have a stove, so we cook "roughly" between that and the convection countertop oven, but we can still cook food. We rarely use both burners, one burner plate would probably suffice as if you try to heat both burners at the same time it will bring up to temperature…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • sad package
