I got this for my son's record player and I'm jealous now. The thing not only works with turntables, but also with line level and S/PDIF inputs. It is output to USB, line-out and S/PDIF. For vinyl, it really was plug and play. Windows found the drivers and installed them automatically. Then I turned on Audacity (open source, free) and immediately started digitizing my recordings.
