the best paper/substrate for metallic watercolors, gouaches and markers!

I wish I had tried this sooner! This backing (very heavyweight paper that folds into a canvas) is absolutely PERFECT for metallic watercolors and markers. I've tried many different types of black paper, including watercolor paper, for my Fintec/Coliro paint collection and they all had problems - usually the paint just dries very flat and lifeless. Best black paper for the price per piece, needs a bit of practice folding

I was pleasantly surprised at how strong this paper is when folded into a canvas shape! When folded, it is difficult to bend and will not bend when hung. There is even an X on the back for vertical hanging (I haven't seen one for horizontal hanging, which would be a negative point of criticism), so pay attention to orientation when drawing. I found the folding a bit difficult and I think the instructions could have been better (no written instructions, just pictures). The first one I folded…

Needs reinforcement for a stable frame - ideal for art classes or youth activities at home

This package did not quite live up to my expectations when I received it. However, like any artist, we always try to make do with what we have and find interesting ways to use it.
