WiFi Valve Opener: Home Automation Devices

I have a small fountain in my garden that needs to be refilled periodically with water lost to evaporation and wind. Easy to set up and schedule auto power on/off via App/Wi-Fi. Works great so far. I'm glad I don't have to go into the garden that often.

Good to go! on home automation devices

Easy to install, works like a champ. Stainless steel ball valve installed (https://amazon.com/dp/B0043LACRS?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_asin_image). I use it to add water to my pool. Control with Alexia, voice or just press a button. Some users have reported tube bends, I haven't had any issues with my setup.

May work but not without modifications

Worked great after modifying my short 1/4 turn valve. Drill and screw in the valve handle the same size as the screw, drill a hole in the actuator arm and use a screw to ensure it works properly. Another does not work with my 3/4 water line. It will not level with enough force to turn the knob. Valve seems great for this.

Defective Block from a Bad Seller - Twoto -

DOA. The device didn't start, so it wasn't even able to connect to wifi. quality is bad. Looks very similar to other units I've bought that weren't in stock so I decided to try this one. Big mistake! The worst thing is that the seller doesn't pay postage. Despite the fact that it is entirely their fault, I am now forced to spend my time and money to return it. I will never buy anything from this seller, Twoto.

It will NOT open your main valve.

If after 2 years the main valve does not open - forget about it. The pipe mount isn't strong enough to hold this thing in place. I tightened everything as tight as I could, but it was still completely crooked and twisted and could only close the valve 1/3. I'm actually shocked that the mechanism didn't break completely - hence the 2 stars, not 1.FIY, it's easy to flash it with tuya convert so you can run your tasmota install ;)

Poor WiFi range, best in hubs and controllers

I really wanted to enjoy it but the maximum available distance from my WiFi router was disappointing. My plan was to turn off the air valve on my air compressor when not in use because the hoses allow air to slowly seep down. It was connected in the same room as my router so I figured it was fine. I placed it in the final location about 25 feet away and it didn't connect to the router. After many tests, I found that he could only walk about 20 feet. I contacted support and received no response.

Slightly modified

I needed this unit to remotely control a gate valve with an external connector. The device is in a hard-to-reach place in my house. The installation is fine except for the length of the extension bolts used to guide the valve arm. The water valve lever is the smaller variant that the unit was designed for, but a trip to Home Depot for slightly longer screws (1/4โ€ณ) and a simple swap on the unit was enough. Signing up and working with WiFi was easy. My only gripe is when power is restored theโ€ฆ
