Stable and easy to use. Excellent BIOS.

The looks and performance of this cell phone are excellent. It's a little pricey, though, given the M.2's overclocking and cooling. it is worth the price. This board will likely rival AMD chipsets at enthusiast performance levels for about 5 years. I looked at it as an investment and was very happy with the results. Don't buy if you are on a budget. Not worth the performance for the price if you won't be using it for years. I recommend sticking with the default overclock when using a Zen2, as…

Check RAM amount

I've been using this board for almost a year, I just want to point out a few things. Originally I was going to use an air cooler from Noctua, but after colliding with the assembly I settled on Corsair's AIO issues. My memory modules were too close to the heat pipes for proper assembly. I have used and still use Trident Z Royal 16GB modules which are relatively tall. I still use them today with my Ryzen 9 3900X.

Not ready for prime time

I've been building PCs since Windows 98 came out, so I'm not a noob here. I even build AMD and Intel systems with old Slot A, the very first 1GHz processor on an old Epox MB, so I'm no stranger to tweaking bios. But this Asrock board is buggy than a June bug truck. Custom voltage settings are not saved correctly even with the latest BIOS 2.2. The numeric indicator on the keypad is lit when the system is off. Oh, and don't enable deep sleep on the S5, or you'll have to turn it off at shutdown…

Nice board but can't install 2 graphics cards

then it asks for 20 PCIe lanes for the processor and there are 16 total. To get it to boot you can update the BIOS and then switch the PCI to give each slot the maximum x4 speed. All X570 motherboards I've reviewed from other manufacturers support x8/x8 mode for Ryzen 3, so being stuck at x4/x4 is already a frustration for anyone who wants to have 2 graphics cards for whatever reason. But it gets worse. You can BOOT after installing PCI video on x4/x4. but you cannot output video from either…

Be careful with the air cooler

I used it with my 3600 processor with the included Ryzen air cooler. If you don't use AIO, you can only use two RAM DIMMs. Luckily it uses a2 and b2 channels, but if you want to use 4x8 instead of 2x16 you can't do that on this motherboard.

Excellent competitor and easy to use

When it comes to sales this is excellent value for money. I originally bought it here, but then Newegg had it for $50 less. Everything was easy to set up. RGB and RGB headers work well. Not a huge fan of Asrock's RGB software, but you get what you get. The motherboard has a wide range of I/O. Bios is easy to use, but one problem I'm having, which will most likely be fixed with a bios update, is that if I spam f2 or delete the key, it never loads into the bios and stays grey/black Screen. I only

Not suitable for large GPU cards

I chose this board because I need a front USB Type-C port for my build and the general feedback has been good. Generally the pay is good. , but it has two design flaws, one of which I think is the most important: - If you install a powerful GPU (I have an RTX 2070 Super), the MB chipset fan is completely blocked and covered by the GPU case. Not suitable for thermals. Installing the m.2 was unnecessarily complicated due to the design of the MB. I have a feeling that the next time I open it I…
