Look elsewhere for a sensor that actually has a cable label

No indication of what each cable corresponds to (yellow, red, blue), obviously making it difficult and frustrating to connect to an e-bike. Nonsense without such information.

Works but turns on regardless of pedal direction

Well I had high hopes but it turned out to be a failure! It's plugged in and installed and it works, but it also kicks in when you kick backwards, which is amazing! Any ideas what might be wrong would be helpful

Works with Lyen 3977ST-MII Must be soldered from the original connector

There is no wiring diagram. There is no LED blinker on the device. No directions. plastic on the side of the sensor. Works with gaps up to 1/8 inch. If your bike spins backwards, simply replace the plastic on the sensor block on the bottom bracket bracket. You don't have to mount on the right side (sprocket side). Much easier to install on the left side. I had to cut off part of the connecting rod to make room (removed by 1/8" to get enough clearance. The wiring that worked for me was theโ€ฆ

The connector may need to be replaced and rewired

I chose this 12 magnet unit to replace the broken 8 magnet unit that came with my eBike. This sensor is pre-wired with the JST SM connector. My controller also has a pin header. Thanks to other reviewers, I was able to identify the correct color coding for my controller cables. After several failed attempts to replace the JST connector with a female connector (I just can't get the hang of fitting those tiny crimped connectors into the plastic housing), I switched to USB Type-A soldering andโ€ฆ
